Layout Layouts are the blueprint or master plan of a printed work including newspaper, books, magazines and websites (Kia et al., 2014). It helps in manipulating the message regarding the products and services through visual presentation using graphics elements. Layouts are plans and ideas that are used by the companies to provide the visual presentation of their company details. These layouts are attractive and providing detailed information regarding any assignment of the company to the customers (Batra, 2014). Layouts establish a relation with the content and graphics providing a flow of information to the customers in market. Layouts provides information related to the subject matter of the product. Types of layouts There are three types of layouts available including process, product and fixed-position layouts. The product layout deals with the products of the company in the market (Wu et al., 2013). The different sequence of the operations involved in the product is shown in this layout. The process layout is used in the low volume production (Feng et al., 2016). The products are not available for the desirable and flexible supply in the layout. The operation facilities are discussed n the process layout that helps in maintaining the operation functions of the company. The process layout helps in better utilization of the resources available in the company. This help in breakdown of the operations involved in the project management. The fixed position layout is a modern layout generally used by the companies in the market (Wu et al., 2013). The main content of the body in the layout is fixed for its quality. Retail Layout The retail layouts are used by the retail shops for the interior design including floor plan. This retail layout helps in decorating the retail shop in the market. The retail layout contains the plan for the placement of the goods and furniture in the retail shop (Batra, 2014). This layout helps in retaining the behavior of a customer by attracting them towards the shop. The owner of the retail shop maintains this layout. It also helps in maintaining cleanliness in the retail shop by proper arrangement of the things in the shop. It contains all the blueprint of the retail shop to provide an idea of the completed shop.
